Paul and I
navigated heavy traffic and large crowds in Niagra Falls
at the end of the seventh week.

of the falls is still impressive despite the town's tourist atmosphere.

In the
middle of week 8, during our travels across New York state, the staff at Black River
Bay Campground in Dexter made us a special cake to celebrate the current
progress of our 2 month endeavor.
|
In
addition to the special cake, the staff also prepared this elegantly
displayed vegetable appetizer.
|
Feeding a
bunch of hungry bikers is not an easy job, but the salad, rolls, baked potato
and BBQ chicken served by the campground staff was very good and better than
some of the restaurant meals we ate.

Writing in
our journals and recording information about the day's ride was part of the
evening routine.
|
About 12
miles before reaching Lake Placid (the final destination for the day) I was
unable to resist these bears at Saranac
Lake that were just
begging to have their picture taken.
|
We passed
the falls at Ausable Chasm just before leaving New York state at the beginning of week 9.
